A very successful retail and entertainment provider is seeking a talented “PR & Social Media Executive” to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a digital savvy PR professional to report directly to the Head of Marketing and act as her No 2 in the business.

The “PR & Social Media Executive” will co-create and help deliver multiple high quality, engaging PR, social media and digital marketing programmes to support the overall marketing strategy for our client’s retail hub. This role will also suit a PR guru who lives and breathes social - someone who is a strong collaborator and a natural storyteller with a passion for copywriting to impassion people about Food, Fashion and Events.

PR

  • Co-creating and implementing a PR/social media and digital marketing strategy as a key part of the overall marketing plan
  • Create and send out regular press releases
  • Support any events, exhibitions or shows through generating regional and national press coverage.
  • Daily engagement with retailers and town centre stakeholders.
  • Pro-actively seek appropriate PR coverage online and offline
  • Build relationships with key press contacts
  • Create and send out regular press releases

Social Media

  • Co-creating and implementing a PR/social media and digital marketing strategy as a key part of the overall marketing plan
  • Managing their established social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc.
  • Executing external marketing activity and campaigns across social media and other channels, ensuring they contribute towards the overall marketing objectives.
  • Generating stories, editing, publishing and sharing daily content (text, images, video) that supports wider marketing strategy and builds meaningful connections with our target clientele.
  • Working alongside the external agency to develop online campaign content including landing pages, web banners, emails (dotmailer) and blogs
  • Identify opportunities to help grow the brand and social media reach through partnerships, competitions, influencers and paid social
  • Work with our brands to help promote content and partner with them on competitions and promotions

Desirable skills:

  • At least 3 years+ experience within a PR/Retail/Fashion and/or Social Media role
  • Highly organised with the ability to ‘get the job done’
  • Excellent command of the English language, ability to write copy (press releases and marketing material) for target audiences.
  • Excellent proof reading skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with retailers on a daily basis
  • Self-motivated and confident decision maker
  • Analytical skills and good presentation skills
  • Strong time-management and prioritisation skills.
  • Able to work well under pressure to complete tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Computer literate; Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint necessary.
